Over our more than 50 years in business, we’ve built more than buildings. Through honesty, integrity, and commitment to quality, we’ve built lasting relationships with our clients.

In 1965, Robert W. Fendler founded R.W. Fendler, Inc. out of the three-season porch office of his home in Burnsville, MN. After working for his father-in-law and dreaming of owning his own business, he bought the company and went into business for himself. Before long, his design-build construction business expanded and took over the basement of the home. Eventually Robert’s sons joined the business and the growing company moved to its current offices in Savage, MN.

In 1987, Robert’s son Rob Fendler become Vice President. As the business continued to grow so did his role, and in 1992 Rob became President. In 2004, John Patterson became a partner prompting a change to the name Fendler Patterson Construction. The company has enjoyed steady growth since, including a record year of business in 2014.

In 2015, Fendler Patterson Construction proudly celebrated its 50th year of business. Now, more than five decades after Robert W. Fendler founded the company, his values of quality workmanship and honesty continue to be the bedrock of the family-oriented business.
